Rebecca Tanner

Rebecca Tanner earned her bachelor’s degree from Eastern Kentucky University and attended Graduate School at the University of Kentucky. Throughout her initial career in social services, Rebecca successfully led teams in achieving national accreditation for early childhood education programs, supervised the inaugural migrant head start program in Kentucky, taught a Family Involvement course at Eastern Kentucky University, and expanded programming to rural counties within her service area. Her exceptional leadership in family involvement in early education was recognized with a commendation letter from State Senator Ernesto Scorsone. Rebecca has transitioned to a second career in animal care with National Veterinary Associates. Following the successful operation of locations in Kentucky and North Carolina, she traveled nationwide, training new pet care teams and managers, and assisted with launching new locations. Rebecca developed a comprehensive training curriculum for site leaders and district leaders, which she currently facilitates remotely. She furthered her education by obtaining credentials in pet grooming, pet first aid, and Fear Free Certification. Her contributions have been recognized with glowing class reviews as well as awards for demonstrating servant leadership and developing leaders.

Witnessing a dear friend battle cancer with unwavering strength and optimism has been profoundly inspiring. Rebecca is deeply humbled to contribute to and support this extraordinary cause.
