Amy Sanford

Amy Sanford

Amy Sanford earned her bachelor’s degree from Eastern Kentucky University. She began her career at the VA hospital at the University of Kentucky, where she dedicated her time to rehabilitating veterans. Passionate about serving others, she remains an active volunteer in her community, continually finding ways to make a positive impact. Amy is an advocate for enriching the lives of people living with cancer. Her journey is deeply personal, rooted in her close family’s and friend’s experience with cancer.

After witnessing the impact of cancer on loved ones, she saw firsthand the emotional, physical, and financial toll it took on her family. She felt called to do more than just support and wants to help others going through similar battles. Amy brings a unique perspective as a caregiver, ensuring that families affected by cancer receive the resources and support they need. Having served for 12 years on the board of her children’s swim team, Amy brings extensive experience in leadership, organization, and community engagement.

When not volunteering, she is busy raising her twins, who inspire her everyday with their resilience and kindness. Amy is committed to making a difference, honoring her loved one’s journeys, and ensuring that people living with cancer have the opportunity to embrace life’s experiences.
