The mission of Determined Disruptors is to promote the physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being of women living with breast cancer by inspiring them to live life to the fullest, create lasting memories and form meaningful connections through funded shared activities.
“I have watched my determined disruptors activities and challenges give my mom a newfound strength and sense of purpose. She has been doing activities that she didn’t think would be possible. This has been an opportunity for us to create invaluable memories with treasured photos, and videos of our time together. This journey has helped me to process my mom’s diagnosis and power through this scary time. During our challenges we're able to completely focus on having fun together and cancer is a complete afterthought. We have discovered some of our deepest passions through challenges initially intended for a single experience, such as surfing and piano. Seeing the way that these challenges have changed my mom’s mental health and outlook has inspired me to make a difference for other people. I hope to also be a light and guide for other teens in their journey, dealing with their loved ones living with cancer.” - Ashley
